Important information about how we are operating during COVID-19, and what happens when you visit a practice.
Our practices are open during all COVID-19 levels, but to keep everyone safe we are doing things a little differently.
We are operating 'virtual first', which means we are offering virtual consults when it's not essential to see you face to face. This could be by phone or video consultation, messaging or exchanging information with you via the patient portal. We know this is a big change, and we will work with you to make sure it's as easy as possible. We want everyone to receive the care they need.
We are still here for you so please don't put off making an appointment if you are unwell.
Please call before you visit us (don't just turn up) and we'll assess your request for care.
If we decide you do need to come in to the practice, please rest assured that our practice is a safe place. All of our staff follow strict rules about wearing personal protective equipment, cleaning and sanitising, and maintaining physical distance.
All patients are asked questions about their health, travel history and potential contact with COVID-19 patients before entering the practice. You will be required to wear a mask when entering the practice.
To ensure physical distancing, you may be directed to a new waiting area or asked to wait in your car until it's time for your appointment.
Patients with symptoms of COVID-19 are seen separately. Depending on the practice this might be in a different part of the building, outdoors or in the car parking area.
